Does this video doorbell camera get a good wide view of the yard? I am looking for something that picks up motion by door and yard.
The field of view is 134° so is not ultra wide, but present in a slight "fisheye" view. You can always use the 15° angle mount included to place the camera in a better angle and distance to cover the area of your most concern.
Can you turn off motion detection to save battery life? I want to use this in a high traffic area solely for the doorbell function.
You can turn off Motion detection and also have a sensitivity control in the doorbell settings. If the high traffic area means cars or animals, you can restrict motion detection to humans' being recognized.
We too are facing a busy street and have no issues with too much recording.
How far away can Base Station be from doorbell cam?
In most cases, the camera can be placed from the Base Station within 30ft (for a stronger signal). The actual range will vary depending on a number of factors such as the thickness of walls, obstacles inside the house, and the network signal.
We recommend going to the Doorbell Setting>network diagnosis to check the signal strength before the installation.
Does this doorbell support 24/7 recording, much like a surveillance camera?
This smart doorbell does not support continuous recording, only event recording. When the doorbell camera detects motion or someone arrives, it automatically starts recording video.
Can you share the video doorbell wireless with another family member?
Yes, you can share the camera with up to 10 users on the WUUK App.
Can this be wired for power using the existing doorbell wires? Can you wire it to the existing chime or does it only chime on the base?
This doorbell camera can be wired for power using the existing doorbell wires.
What is maximum length of video it can record? Can i customize recording time?
The length of recording is 30 seconds maximum activated by motion detected. Another 2 options are 10s and 20s. You can customized based on your needs in the WUUK app.
How does it do in the cold? My last wireless one the battery died after about five days in the winter?
The operating temperature range of the doorbell is -20 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees Celsius.
Can the pairing/doorbell work without being connected to the internet?
Unfortunately no, you have to have Internet and WiFi Router to use the WUUK smart doorbell.
Where is the charging port on the smart doorbell pro?
The charging port is under the white rubber cover on the back of the smart doorbell, you can see it by pulling out the rubber cover.
